2023 Drama Team to Mazatlan!

OTTOM’s first international trip for 2023, did not come until July. OTTOM was forced to cancel/postpone two other trips, so we were so excited when we finally we made our way to the western coast of Mexico. Our hosts, Shoulder to Shoulder, Mexico were ready for us, and we jumped right into ministry! 

 

Mazatlán is a resort city, but few tourists know the real Mazatlán. Just drive 20 minutes outside its resorts and beach front hotels, and you will find communities needing all sorts of things, especially the Gospel.

 

 

Our joint team tackled presentations in plazas, churches, and parks all over town. In each location, we boldly proclaimed the name of Jesus, and many responded, surrendering their lives to The Giver of Life! Our team was over the top excited to have the opportunity to pray for so many people after each presentation. 

 

Our team was also able to serve Shoulder to Shoulder by completing several work projects during our time with them.  We were able to refurbish chairs for STS’s Pastoral Resource Center, as well as several other projects. 

 

 

 

And we were also able to have a beautiful time of prayer and worship on top of the mountain overlooking the city. 

 

 

OTTOM is so thankful to our ministerial friends, Shoulder to Shoulder, their vision of empowering the local church gave us the opportunity to serve churches of all sizes, in every part of Mazatlán as they reached their communities with the gospel.
